In these three days alone, several attacks were alleged in the Sumy region, including: Destruction of the IMR-2 vehicle by an Lancet, destruction of the Polish S-125 “Pechora-2D” vehicle and the attack of an Iskander missile that hit a civilian parking lot in the region
Despite this fact, Ukraine appears to be withdrawing personnel from the front to place in Kursk, since in total, Ukraine has deployed around 10,000 soldiers to attack the Kursk region, in the Russian Federation. The Wall Street Journal writes about this with reference to the assessments of Western experts. 6 thousand of them took direct part in the attack on the Kursk region, another 4 thousand remained for auxiliary tasks in the Sumy region. Preparations for the attack had been underway since early summer. At the forefront of the attack were the AFU’s 80th and 82nd Air Assault Brigades, equipped with American Stryker and German Marder armored vehicles. A significant part of this group was recruited from the reserves that Ukraine formed for operations this year and next.
